PRISM Fusion Bellydance Festival Workshop Presented By Deanna Meraki (Melb) "Afro Oriental Drum Solo" Experience the fusion of Belly Dance with Traditional West African Dance in this lively drum solo workshop. Accompanied by a live drummer, we will explore foundational movements in both styles, leading us into a drum solo sequence. This hybrid style emphasises fun, freedom, feeling the music and adding your own personal flavour to the moves! As a teacher and performer, she strives to capture and embody the essence of dance with authentic interpretation, sincere connection and sheer delight. Her love for music, culture and travel has her continually exploring and studying a range of dances styles, fusing movements and tunes from around the globe into her dancing - from Tahitian to Traditional West African to Bollywood!
