Workshop: Briohny May
Broken Clock Folk Fusion
Available spots
Class Description
PRISM Fusion Bellydance Festival Workshop Presented By Briohny May (Melbourne) "Broken Clock Folk Fusion" Broken Clock is Briohny May’s folk fusion format borne from years of folk fusion style choreographies and performances with live orchestras. Heavily influenced by East European folk dance and Jill Parker’s earthy and fluid movement, Broken Clock blends perfectly with Fat Chance BellyDance® and DaturaStyle™. These steps and combos bridge the gaps between fast and slow music, suit unusual time signatures, and can be used for improvisation or choreography. In this workshop you will drill a selection of Broken Clock steps and combinations, and see them in action through improv and a short choreographic sequence to both 4/4 and unusual timing! SATURDAY NOV 7, 9AM - 11AM STYLE: Broken Clock Folk Fusion LEVEL: Continuing beginners and up ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR: Briohny May is a Melbourne-based fusion belly dancer known for her colourful and eclectic folk-inspired performances.
