Fusion Bellydance Beginner Term 3 (9 Weeks) LOCATION: TAKE CARE STUDIOS (BRUNSWICK) TUESDAYS 7:15pm-8:30pm Come and join the Alyasati community and immerse yourself in the rich, expressive world of Fusion Bellydance. Fusion Bellydance (often known as Tribal Fusion) is characterised by precise isolations, fluid undulations, and serpentine, intentional movement, combined with a deeply embodied and body-positive approach to self-expression. It draws from both traditional and contemporary influences, creating a unique and evolving dance form. Your teacher, Sarah Moulton, brings a lifetime of dance experience, weaving together elements of Bellydance, Indian classical dance, contemporary, and ballet into her distinct fusion style. Over 9 weeks you will learn a beginner level choreography to perform at PRISM Fusion Bellydance Showcase on November 7th at Irene Mitchell Theatre. **More information on the performance piece to be announced** Please note this choreography will be part of a 10minute Alyasati set including all levels. There will be a final rehersal with the entire school on Friday Nov 6 , 5:30-7pm Location TBC (compulsory to attend) as well as a tech and a filming run at the theatre on Nov 7th late afternoon before the show starts. The cost of this course includes 9 weeks of choreography + additional rehearsal. There will be a separate fee for costumes which Sarah creates specifically for the performances. Learning Format: - Each week classes will start with quick technique drills and then bite sized chunks of choreography will be taught - The entire choreography will be taught by weeks 6/7 allowing 2-3 weeks of refinment and practice - You will have access to a private youtube playlist with videos for practice - For beginner level, Sarah will not perform the choreography, however will provide all support needed for you all to be performance ready :) In the case you are unable to attend a class due to illness please let Sarah know beforehand so she can film the entire class. Please note to be eligible to perform, attendance in studio is required for 90% of classes.

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY Due to the limited numbers available for in-studio courses and workshops, no refunds or credits can be issued for cancelling your enrolment or missed classes in the duration of the term. Once booked, you must give 5 days’ notice before the start of term if you wish to cancel your enrolment. In the rare event that Sarah is unable to take the class (eg. Illness) then the class will be cancelled or postponed to a later date. If the student cannot attend the other date then a refund will be provided. DANCE SAFETY: Dance classes can involve risk of personal injury. Sarah Moulton & the studios accepts no responsibility for injury or loss caused during classes or whilst participants are at or near the dance studio. You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and mentally fit for the class and during the class you must at all times take care of your own personal safety.
